Her orchestral compositions have been performed by the Minnesota Orchestra, Albany Symphony, New England Philharmonic, among others, and her works for wind ensemble are published by Boosey & Hawkes. ==Biography== Born and raised in New Jersey, Kathryn Salfelder began studying music and composition at the age of 6 at the Bergen Yamaha Music School in Paramus. At thirteen, she began studying piano with Anthony R. Fedell. She attended Fair Lawn High School, and was a winner in the 2003 Andrew de Grado Piano Competition for her performance of Danzas Argentinas by Alberto Ginastera. Kathryn studied with Michael Gandolfi at New England Conservatory, where she earned a B.M. in Composition with Academic Honors. She earned an M.M. in Composition from the Yale School of Music, where she studied under Aaron Jay Kernis and David Lang.
